It was a pleasure to teach in the Boyertown Junior HIgh School music department from 1957-1964. It was my second teaching experience after being graduated from West Chester State Teacher's College in 1955. During my tenure at Boyertown, I earned a Master's degree from Columbia University, New York.
The Boyertown students seemed to be "naturally" disciplined; and well prepared by their private teachers and at home practice time.
It was a difficult decision to leave Boyertown and move on to Wilson Senior High School, as band director and Supervisor of Music.
I have many happy memories of teaching in the Boyertown Area School District.
